Meditating with the Body is a body-based meditation that combines guided relaxation with the traditional body based awareness practices of Tibetan Buddhist Yoga. It is a relaxing and vitalizing experience that uses the body as its own teacher and guide towards self awareness and peace of mind.
“To discover the body is to discover awareness and a direct and effective path to spiritual transformation.”
So often in life, our body is going one direction and the mind another. Ultimately people will most likely follow their mind, while ignoring the body. Through Meditating with the Body you can align the mind and body by learning to pay attention to the body to know it in detail.
What does a meditation session look like?
Each class begins with participants lying down as they are guided through releasing practices to relax the body, digest the events of the day and to connect with the healing energies of the earth. We will then come to an aligned sitting posture, either on the floor or in a chair, and are guided through the process to explore our own body and the way we experience our physical being to deepen our knowledge and cultivate our own spiritual awareness.
What can participants anticipate from Meditating With Body?
- Develop a knowing relationship with the body
- Allow the mind to surrender
- Experience more openness
- Experience peace of mind
- Experience who we really are
- Going beyond what we think, expect and what we want
This class is inspired by my teacher, Reggie Ray, Tibetan Buddhist Dharma teacher. It is designed and intended for everyone.
